Everybody running a website wants the same thing: free traffic from Google. The question is how much work you are willing to do to get it.

I run this blog on that exact bet. I don’t buy ads โ€” I publish, I optimize, and I let search traffic build slowly, because free traffic is the kind a one-person business can actually afford. So when a tool comes along promising to automate the whole SEO grind โ€” the audits, the keywords, the content, even the backlinks โ€” I pay attention, and I check the fine print. This is a research review: I have not used Opinly AI myself, so everything below comes from the company’s own pages and independent sources, checked in October 2026.

What Is Opinly AI?

Opinly is an SEO automation platform. Most SEO tools hand you reports and leave the work to you โ€” Opinly’s pitch is that it does the work itself. It runs site audits to find broken links, SSL problems, and structural issues. It tracks your keyword rankings. It generates SEO content and can schedule and publish it straight to your site. It watches your competitors’ keywords, content, and backlinks. And it plugs into WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and several developer frameworks.

One feature is genuinely forward-looking: it tracks whether your site gets cited inside AI answers โ€” ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Google’s AI Overviews. More people are finding businesses through chatbots instead of search boxes, and most classic SEO tools don’t measure that at all.

The Big Claim

Opinly markets itself hard. It runs a public demo site where it tracks its own automated SEO results, and the headline number is 650% traffic growth โ€” the live demo chart shows monthly visitors up some 12,955%. Read those numbers the way I do: they are the company’s own marketing, from a demo site it controls, and the base underneath them is small โ€” the demo shows about 7,800 monthly visitors. A tiny site can post a giant percentage and still be talking about very little traffic. Meanwhile, buried in Opinly’s own FAQ, the customer results it quotes are a much quieter 10โ€“30% increase in organic traffic. And the company can’t keep its own user count straight: its homepage says “30,000+ marketers” in one place and “15,000+ sites” in another. Percentages are not proof, and neither is a headcount that changes between page loads. Results on your site are what count.

What It Costs โ€” and Why That’s Hard to Pin Down

Here’s something you should know before you get excited: you can’t actually see the price. I checked โ€” Opinly’s pricing page sends you to a sign-in screen instead of showing plans, so the company wants your account before it shows you a number. What its other pages say doesn’t agree, either: Opinly’s blog describes a Starter plan at $29 per month with unlimited automation, while its comparison page against Semrush says plans start at $49 per month. Third-party directories list figures from about $20 up to $277 a month depending on tier. Even at the higher starting number, it undercuts Semrush’s $139.95-a-month start. But a company that hides its price behind a sign-up wall and publishes two different ones has earned a careful look before you budget anything.

The Catch: Automation You Don’t Control

This is the part the sales page won’t slow down for. Two of Opinly’s headline features deserve a hard second thought:

  • The backlink exchange. Opinly automatically places links to your site through its network. Links are powerful in SEO precisely because they’re supposed to be earned โ€” and automated link schemes are exactly what Google’s spam policies target. A tool quietly building links in your name is a risk to the very rankings you’re paying to improve. And here’s the quiet part: on Opinly’s own homepage, that exchange network is still marked “Beta” โ€” so the boldest feature on the sales page is the one that isn’t finished yet. If you ever use something like this, that feature gets human supervision, not autopilot.
  • Hands-off content. “Set and forget” publishing means articles go live under your name without your eyes on them. I check everything before it posts on my own channels, because one bad page wears your brand, not the tool’s.

Automation is a lever, not a driver. The moment you stop watching what it does in your name, it stops working for you and starts working on you.

The Complaints File

Being fair cuts both ways. On GetApp, one reviewer warns that the company is “still actively running marketing campaigns, but they don’t respond to support requests at all” โ€” and calls it a major red flag. That’s a single review, and Opinly does list email and help-desk support. But for a tool you’d be trusting with your website, support responsiveness matters, and it’s something to test during any trial before real money moves.

Who Opinly Is For โ€” and Who Should Pass

Opinly fits a busy site owner who understands SEO basics but has no time to execute them โ€” the audits, tracking, and AI-search visibility are real work-savers, and the price (whichever of their numbers is current) beats the big manual toolkits. It does not fit anyone who wants to hand over the keys and never look again. Your site is your asset; nobody should be publishing to it or building links to it unsupervised.

My own approach stays boring on purpose: a good SEO plugin, steady publishing, and watching what’s actually working. Slow โ€” but every page and every link on my sites is there because I chose it.

Verdict

Opinly AI is an interesting bet: real automation, a smart eye on AI search, and pricing that undercuts the giants. It’s also a tool whose boldest numbers are its own advertising, whose price depends on which of its pages you read, and whose most powerful feature โ€” automated link building โ€” is the one I’d trust least on a site I depend on. If you try it, try it with your eyes open and your hands on the wheel. Free traffic is worth chasing. It’s just never as free, or as automatic, as the ads say.
